Sophia entered foster care at 3 years old. She spent some time in a foster home until her Grandma was able to adopt her. Sophia is a sweet, smart, and helpful young lady. She loves to help her grandma cook and is really crafty, just like her grandma. She can come off as shy, but she has been coming out of her shell, trying new things, and making new friends.

Sofia is feeling anxious about starting a new school. She has attended the same school since preschool, but with her Grandma and Grandpa's divorce, the family can no longer afford it. Sofia’s first day at the new school was January 13th, but her Grandma wasn’t able to get her a new backpack. Sofia really wants one because the backpack she’s currently using is two years old, and she no longer likes the color pink.
