Sammy is a passionate young man who enjoys playing basketball and exploring the virtual world of Roblox. His favorite subjects are Math and History, where he finds joy in solving Math problems, relishing the challenge of seeking answers, no matter how long it takes. Sammy attends a school outside of his district due to his developmental disabilities. His parents relinquished their parental rights to the state because they felt they were not equipped to handle Sammy's behavioral issues. Initially, Sammy struggled with the situation regarding his parents, but with the help of his therapist, he has been coping better with their decision on a day-to-day basis.

Sammy frequently uses the online learning platform IXL to work on a variety of math questions and relies on McGraw-Hill for his History and English Language Arts (ELA) studies. Despite his dedication, Sammy encounters challenges at home. His current foster home does not have a computer or an iPad, making it difficult for him to complete his homework. To address this, he often arrives at school early to finish his assignments, as the school does not provide iPads for students. Sammy desperately wants an iPad to help him effectively complete his Math, History, and ELA homework. Having access to this tool would significantly improve his education and enhance his learning experience.
