Joshua is a quiet boy who has experienced a lot of abuse and neglect. He was removed from his parents' home and placed with a relative, who then overdosed, so he moved again. He can be very protective of his little sisters, and also is quick to frustration and anger. It has been hard for him to process all of the changes and losses. He finds joy in food and in playing with building toys quietly by himself.

Joshua has never had a birthday where he felt safe and special. This year will be different, and he doesn't know what to expect. He loves trying new things and enjoys quiet activities. He will especially love his new 3D printing pen, as it will allow him to create cool designs at home.
