DHHS - NebraskaRiley is a shy and quiet kid. He enjoys playing video games and spending time with his few close friends. Riley is involved in the after-school club at his middle school and stated that he likes to stay and play esports. He hopes to join some competitions in the future. Riley is currently living with his mother's cousin, and he likes living there. His older two brothers also live in the home. Riley spends a lot of time with his brothers and looks up to them.
Riley lives with his foster parent, who works long hours. Because of this, he has learned to take care of himself pretty well for a middle schooler. He can get up in the morning, although sometimes he oversleeps. To help with that, he recently got a new alarm clock. Riley walks to and from school by himself and often spends time alone at home while his foster parent is at work. Luckily, he knows how to make simple meals for himself, especially when his older brothers aren’t around. He’s even known as the family mac n’ cheese chef because everyone loves his version! Lately, Riley has been thinking about getting a cell phone. It would make his walks to school easier and let him contact his foster mom while she’s working. Since they don’t have a home phone, a cell phone would help him stay independent and safe.
