Kyla is amazing and strong. After a traumatic youth that included absent parents, foster care, abuse, sex trafficking, and overcoming obstacles no child should, Kyla is trying to raise her own family. She has two kids, a dedicated partner, and now has legal custody of her sister, whom she has brought to a safe environment after her own trauma that was very much like Kyla’s. Kyla is one of the most amazing young ladies. She is resilient, kind, and does so much for everyone around her. Recently, she has been diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia, which has added to the things that already spill over on her plate.

Kyla is always looking for ways to plan fun outings for her family, eager to get everyone out of the house and make memories together. However, whenever she saves up some money for a special activity, it often ends up going toward more pressing matters, like car repairs or household bills. Just last week, she had her heart set on a family bowling night, but then the baby got sick, and soon after, everyone in the house caught the bug. Instead of enjoying a night of bowling, the money she had saved had to be spent on supplies for the house. Despite these setbacks, Kyla remains hopeful and determined. She dreams of treating her family to a getaway at the Metropolis Resort, which features an exciting waterpark, an arcade, and a trampoline park.
