Church World Service - Jersey CityAylin and her family are refugees from Afghanistan. Fleeing a dangerous situation, her parents' only hope was to provide a better life for their children. Resettling to a new country is not easy, however, and young Aylin struggled to adapt to a new culture and a new language. Aylin is doing much better now, has made friends at school, and is doing well in her classes. Her favorite subject is math. When she is not in school, Aylin enjoys reading and fashion.
Aylin absolutely loves going to school, but she’s growing out of her old uniform and needs a new one. A gift card to a local clothing store would be perfect, allowing her the freedom to try on and choose her own outfits for school. This way, she can express her style while making sure she has the right fit for her continued growth. This is wish 1 of 2.
