NE DHHS - Madison CountyTyler has faced many challenges throughout his life. After a failed adoption with a relative, he returned to the foster care system and has been in care for a few years now. Tyler is working hard to overcome his struggles in school, as he has fallen behind. His goal is to graduate with his class in May 2026. He has shown an improved attitude and is committed to using his school time wisely. Although Tyler is slow to open up to providers and adults, once he trusts someone, he is quirky and fun to be around.
Tyler has had some restrictions on owning a phone because of his probation, but he’s been working hard to get that lifted. Having an iPhone would really mean a lot to him; it would remind him of how far he’s come in his journey. This phone would be essential for him as he works toward his goals before aging out of the foster care system. Tyler is determined to get his driver’s license and find a job, and having a phone would make job searching a lot easier. Plus, it would help him stay connected with his siblings from his biological family, who can offer him much-needed support. With this new tool, Tyler is moving in the right direction toward a brighter future.
