Jessica recently entered foster care and unfortunately, she and her siblings were split up. Her grandmother is working hard to bring the kids together again with her, but until then Jessica sings and writes poetry to stay positive. Jessica can also sew and knit.

Jessica has faced a lot of challenges in life, but keeps pushing forward. Recently, she moved into her own home, which is a big step for her. She balances a part-time job and is studying to become a social worker, focusing on helping children in foster care. As she approaches the end of another semester, managing her busy schedule has been tough. Sometimes, she struggles to find time to buy groceries or even go to a food pantry, which often has limited hours. Because of this, she sometimes barely eats, having just one meal a day to make her supplies last. This has started to affect her health, and she’s losing weight. With a bit of support, Jessica could manage these challenges better. If she had easier access to healthy meals, she could focus more on her studies and work, helping her succeed in her academic and personal life. This is wish 2 of 2.
