The Lost & Found Institute

After losing his mom, who was raising him as a single parent, Tyler entered foster care during one of the most painful and isolating moments of his life. Grief and loneliness weighed heavily on him, and he struggled to find a place where he felt grounded. Boxing became that outlet. Training gave him structure, discipline, and a way to release the pain he was carrying when words weren’t enough. Now, Tyler dreams of becoming a boxing coach for youth who are walking a path similar to his, young people dealing with loss, instability, and feeling alone. He wants to be the mentor he needed, using boxing not just to build strength, but to offer connection, guidance, and hope.

Tyler currently doesn’t have a personal computer, which is making it hard for him to complete school assignments, access online courses, and stay organized. He used to have a laptop, but it was stolen from his car, and now he struggles without the technology that many students rely on. Tyler is asking for a higher-quality laptop that can run his school programs. He had a lower-quality one in the past, and it couldn't handle the programs, often crashing. He needs a touchscreen feature because he learns best by interacting directly with the screen. This would help him stay engaged and complete assignments more effectively. Investing in a reliable laptop now would prevent future disruptions caused by problems with old or malfunctioning equipment. Getting a replacement laptop would provide Tyler with the stability he needs to complete his schoolwork independently and support his academic progress and long-term goals.
