Cruz is a very smart, resilient, and determined young man who arrived in the US alone. Cruz is very respectful toward his foster parents and is determined to become important in the US and build a well-paying career so he can eventually help his mother, who is still in Mexico. Cruz has lacked a childhood and is struggling to learn how.

Cruz was recently placed in a new home, and his shoes were in terrible condition—ripped and dirty. To help him, his social worker bought him a new pair of shoes. However, Cruz, being incredibly humble, chose the cheapest pair available at Ross. Unfortunately, this decision led to him being made fun of at school. To support him further and boost his confidence, it would be wonderful for Cruz to have the opportunity to visit Nike and pick out a great new pair of shoes that he truly loves. This wish has been divided up so that Cruz can get some amazing new shoes on his shopping trip. This is 1 of 2.
