MO DSS Children's Division - Shannon CountyCameron is a bright and energetic boy who has been in foster care since the age of four. He is also on the autism spectrum. Cameron transitioned from a residential home to a foster home, where he is discovering many things that boys typically enjoy. He loves video games, watching TV shows, and playing outside. These activities are quite new to him, as he didn't have much exposure to them while growing up. Cameron has resumed visits with his siblings after a long period of separation. His memories of his biological family are limited, so he has taken a keen interest in looking at the pictures taken during these visits and enjoying the use of cell phone cameras.
Cameron is getting to know his brother and sister and has taken great joy in having his picture taken with them. He learned how to use their cell phones to capture moments during their visits. Although Cameron doesn't need a cell phone, he would love to have his own camera to take pictures that he can look back on after their visits and share with others. With his birthday approaching, his foster parent has often mentioned that an instant camera could be on his wish list. Cameron has expressed that if he ever receives one, he would "take the best care of it." He is old enough and responsible enough to have an instant camera, and he is really hoping it will be a gift for his birthday.

"Thank you so much for this camera for Cameron. You will never truly know how much joy you have brought to him. This gift brought tears to an entire room when he realized what it was and what it could do. He will definitely go through lots of film in the future as it didn't take long for him to become the family photographer. Thank you from Cameron and from his team!!"
