With custody of his brother, Lorenzo was experiencing homelessness for approximately a year and a half before moving into transitional housing. Now that he is in a more stable housing situation, Lorenzo is working to secure an affordable apartment of his own, help his little brother graduate high school and get set up for success, go back to college and complete a degree in psychology or sociology, and is interested in becoming a guidance counselor and helping kids, like his guidance counselor helped him! Lorenzo also has plans to connect with a therapist and build up a savings account to help promote financial stability.

Lorenzo has a long commute to work and has been experiencing car troubles recently. His car was supposed to be ready, but the mechanic needed to order a part, so it will take another week to get the car repaired. This situation has been a significant strain for Lorenzo, as he relies on his car to get to work, and public transportation is not a convenient option for his location. He is hopeful that once his car is back in working order, commuting will be much smoother moving forward!
