Kiley's mother is wheelchair-bound after a leg amputation years ago, which has left her disabled and struggling with other health issues. This makes it difficult for her to spend the quality time she wishes she could with Kiley. Despite facing financial challenges, she is a remarkable parent, striving to provide for Kiley and her younger sibling. Tragically, Kiley's father abused both her and her mother in the past, and for safety reasons, he is no longer a part of their lives. On top of these challenges, Kiley faces her own hurdles with dyslexia, PTSD, and anxiety. She actively engages in therapy and participates in group sessions with a local agency, using these resources to support her mental well-being. Through it all, she channels her energy into football and other activities, finding purpose and joy that help combat feelings of isolation and depression.
