Aaliyah entered foster care at a young age with her twin brother after they were abandoned at a hotel. They were later adopted, but unfortunately, things did not work out in their adoptive home. After spending some time with friends, Aaliyah remained a model student in high school but soon faced the possibility of becoming homeless as a senior. With the help of the McKinney-Vento Act, she has found temporary placement in a group home located 20 miles from her school.

Aaliyah has been placed in a group home located 20 miles from her school, which has created a need for transportation to both work and track events. While transportation to and from her classes has been secured, extracurricular events, including her job and track activities, remain uncovered. Her track meets are typically held on Friday nights, requiring one-way transport, or on Saturdays, which necessitates two-way transportation. Unfortunately, the school does not provide these transportation services. To ensure Aaliyah can continue participating in her sports and maintain her job—both of which are incredibly important to her—an Uber gift card would be immensely helpful. Aaliyah is an outstanding athlete and is currently taking coursework for college credit.
