Dexton is an energetic and big-hearted kid who has learned to navigate life between two homes, spending half his time with his dad and the other half with his mom. Although this arrangement has had its challenges, it has helped shape Dexton into a resilient, adaptable, and self-aware young person. Earlier this year, his behavior presented difficulties for both parents, but Dexton has made remarkable progress. His growth reflects his effort, the support around him, and his willingness to keep trying. Dexton has ADHD, which means he experiences the world with intensity, creativity, and boundless energy. He needs opportunities to release that energy in healthy ways, such as running, climbing, and participating in sports or any activity that allows him to move quickly and freely. When Dexton is able to expend his energy, he truly shines. He becomes more focused, patient, and confident in himself. What makes Dexton truly special is his determination and heart. Even when faced with challenges, he continues to push forward. He is learning to channel his energy into positive outlets, and with the right support and opportunities for movement, Dexton has incredible potential to thrive.
