Penelope has shown remarkable resilience through her challenging circumstances, moving in with her grandmother to escape the domestic violence and drug exposure inflicted by her father, who has since passed away from a drug overdose. This loss, combined with the feelings of abandonment from her mother, has deeply affected her, but she is actively engaged in therapy, which is helping her heal. Despite her struggles, she is doing well in school, finding joy and confidence in her studies, and loves spending time outdoors. Penelope also expresses herself through gymnastics, thriving both physically and mentally, and her journey is a testament to her strength and determination as she continues to forge a positive path in her life.

Penelope really needs some new summer clothing since she’s outgrown what she had from last year. She also needs some summer shoes as well. She’s growing so quickly, and it’s tough to keep up with the cost of dressing her! Luckily, she already has a list of clothes she’d love to get. She’s looking for shorts, summer shirts, pretty dresses, and some cute sandals, among other things.
