Hunter was extremely behind developmentally when he came into care. However, with love, attention, and care from his foster family, Hunter quickly caught up to where he should be and then surpassed developmental milestones! Hunter is autistic, which can make playing in large groups of other children overwhelming for him. His favorite place to be is outside, and he loves outdoor play.

Hunter loves spending time outdoors, but when he’s in a busy public park, the noise and activity can feel overwhelming. The laughter and hustle of people can drown out what he enjoys about being outside. At home, he has a little toddler swing that he cherishes; it’s his peaceful spot to breathe in the fresh air. He thrives in small, cozy spaces, which is why the little “clubhouses” at playgrounds captivate him. They offer a quiet escape from the chaos where he can let his imagination run wild and fully enjoy his adventures.
