A PlayStation 5 for Malaysia to celebrate graduation

Malaysia's mother passed away due to heart failure, and she was her only caregiver. Her two siblings were separated from her and placed on the East Coast while Malaysia was in California. As a former foster youth, Malaysia has received support services, including case management and scholarship opportunities, while pursuing a degree in Social Work. She is kind, hardworking, mature, and genuine.

Malaysia dedicated four intense years to her sociology program at Sacramento State University, facing numerous challenges along the way, from housing difficulties to navigating impacted programs. Throughout her youth, she often found solace in playing Fortnite on her friends' consoles. Financially, she struggles to make ends meet, but keeping busy is essential for her; itโ€™s how she copes with her trauma. In the world of video games, Malaysia can briefly escape reality and let go of her worries. She particularly enjoys playing Call of Duty against her partner using her friend's PS4. However, since her friend moved out of their Sac State campus last semester, she no longer has easy access to gaming. Owning a PS5 would not only provide her with a fun activity, but it would also help her stay connected with the only emotionally supportive person in her life.
