Sam’s life has been shaped by many transitions. After losing his mom at a young age, he entered the foster care system at just 8 years old and moved in and out of different foster homes until he eventually aged out. Recently, due to challenges with previous foster parents, Sam had to move out and begin living on his own. Now in college, he is working hard to keep moving forward while also trying to figure out what path he wants to take in life. With so many recent changes, Sam is navigating a lot at once. Balancing independence, school, and the emotional weight of these transitions hasn’t been easy. Still, he continues showing resilience as he adjusts to life on his own and explores his future. Like many young people who have experienced the foster care system, Sam is in a season of discovery, learning who he is, what he wants, and how to build the life he deserves.

Sam is hoping for a pair of new shoes. Right now, all of the shoes he owns are very old and worn out, and some of them are starting to develop holes. These awesome Jordan Retro 4's would not only replace what he no longer has but also give Sam something reliable to wear to school and other daily activities. It’s a simple need, but one that would mean a lot and help him take a step forward with comfort and dignity.
