Sam’s life has been shaped by many transitions. After losing his mom at a young age, he entered the foster care system at just 8 years old and moved in and out of different foster homes until he eventually aged out. Recently, due to challenges with previous foster parents, Sam had to move out and begin living on his own. Now in college, he is working hard to keep moving forward while also trying to figure out what path he wants to take in life. With so many recent changes, Sam is navigating a lot at once. Balancing independence, school, and the emotional weight of these transitions hasn’t been easy. Still, he continues showing resilience as he adjusts to life on his own and explores his future. Like many young people who have experienced the foster care system, Sam is in a season of discovery, learning who he is, what he wants, and how to build the life he deserves.

Sam really wants a new Nike shirt because it would give him a confidence boost as he navigates life on his own. With everything going on at school and trying to connect with friends, having something fresh and comfortable to wear means a lot to him.
