In January 2025, concerns regarding his mother's substance use prompted child welfare services to become involved, as this situation was impacting Ammon's safety and well-being. At that time, he was observed to be constantly physically exhausted and taking on caregiving responsibilities for his younger siblings, which were beyond what is appropriate for a child his age. Ammon is struggling to find a sense of normalcy but remains positive, upbeat, and hopeful for the future.
