Chol was placed with her grandmother because of neglect and drug use by her parents, who were unable to keep her safe and meet her needs. She loves doing everyone's hair in the family and is doing well in school, where she enjoys attending. Chol also has a passion for helping others, and she communicates in a very direct manner.

Chol is eager to ride her scooter to school and the store, especially with the weather improving. However, she’s concerned about keeping it safe from theft when she's not using it. That’s why she’s asking for a lock—so she can enjoy riding more without worrying about her scooter being stolen.
