Kourtnie is an outgoing and creative teenager who has recently reunited with her biological mother after several years in the foster care system. Now in a safe and supportive environment, her focus is on healing, finishing high school, and pursuing her dream of joining the Navy. With the support of her mother and community, Kourtnie is taking meaningful steps toward stability and a brighter future. Kourtnie loves arts and crafts, taking photos, and hanging out with friends. She’s adventurous and thrives when exploring new places. She’s also deeply motivated, currently preparing for a credit recovery program and working toward taking the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery for the Navy.

Kourtnie has been working on her GED and hopes to complete it before welcoming her first child later this year. She is enrolled in an online program, but her laptop has stopped working, and she hasn't been able to continue her studies. Kourtnie would like to get an iPad so she can finish her schooling before experiencing this major life change!
