Ollie is a wonderful kid who wears his emotions on his sleeve and sometimes struggles with self-regulation. However, when he is able to express his needs, he truly flourishes! He has made significant progress, and the entire staff is incredibly proud of how hard he has worked to overcome his challenges. Ollie is a little nervous about starting middle school next year, as it brings many changes. Nonetheless, he is smart, kind, helpful, and energetic. He loves to engage in deep and meaningful conversations with anyone who is willing to listen. For his age, he is remarkably intellectual, and we believe that if he can channel that in a positive way, nothing can stop him from achieving his dreams. Plus, he is an excellent big brother!

Ollie wants to fit in on his first day, just like all of his peers. While this item is recommended, it is not essential. It will likely be considered an "extra" rather than a necessity. However, arriving on that first day at a new school that is three times larger than the one he came from, with a zip binder that makes him feel part of something great, can set a positive tone for the year. For someone who experiences strong emotions often, this can be particularly important.
