Additionally, he has an interest in landscaping, having started in the business at the age of eight with his great-grandfather. Malikai enjoys playing video games, is athletic, and likes basketball. He is intelligent and maintains good grades. Eager to enhance his independent living skills, he aims to eventually live on his own.

Malikai currently lives in a transitional housing facility and values the support it offers. However, he wishes there were more activities available nearby for him to participate in. One of Malikai's main interests is basketball, a sport he finds not only enjoyable but also helpful in keeping him occupied and out of trouble. He appreciates how basketball provides him with stimulation during his free time. Malikai would love to have a basketball at his residence, as it would not only increase his engagement but also serve as a meaningful outlet for his energy and passion.
