Eddrick entered foster care around the age of 15 after being abandoned by a relative and experiencing the loss of parental custody. Despite facing significant challenges and instability, he has remained focused on building a positive future for himself. Eddrick has aged out of foster care and is participating in an Independent Living Program as he works toward becoming fully self-sufficient. He is optimistic about his future and is eager to continue developing the skills needed for adulthood. Eddrick has a strong interest in technology and hopes to attend a technology training program to help prepare for a successful career. Eddrick is respectful, independent, and mature. He communicates his needs clearly and is not afraid to ask questions when he needs clarification. He is open to feedback and values advice that helps him grow and improve. Those who know him describe him as engaging, thoughtful, and motivated to better himself. In his free time, Eddrick enjoys playing video games and learning about technology. While he maintains communication with his brothers and sisters, his family lives several hours away in Memphis, and direct support is limited. Even with these challenges, Eddrick continues to work hard toward his goals and remains determined to create a stable and successful future for himself.

Eddrick recently moved into a transitional home where he has the opportunity to stay for the next three years as he works toward achieving independence. He brought some basic items to get started, but he is hoping to make his living space feel more like home. Having a television would provide him with entertainment and a sense of comfort. With this addition, he would feel much more relaxed during his journey toward independence.
