Enrique currently works as a resource navigator for iFoster. Having been in the foster care system himself, Enrique is deeply committed to making a positive impact on others. Recently, he achieved a major milestone by moving into his first apartment, a big step toward independence and personal growth. In addition to his professional work, Enrique has a passion for cooking and enjoys experimenting with different ingredients, transforming food into a form of art. One of Enrique’s greatest life goals is to leave a lasting, positive impact on his community and those around him. He’s drawn to roles that focus on giving back and making meaningful differences in people’s lives.

Enrique is a dedicated advocate and former foster youth who wants to make a difference for others who are leaving the foster care system. At just 28 years old, he is using his experiences to help his community. He has a unique chance to go to Sacramento and talk directly to senators about the important need for peer support for both foster youth and their parents. His dream is to open a place where young people can live as they transition out of care, helping to prevent homelessness. But right now, he needs help to cover his travel costs. If he can’t get this support, he might miss a valuable opportunity to advocate for change on a larger scale. Enrique has prepared and practiced for this moment, and he’s ready to represent his community with determination and purpose.
