Support Center for Child AdvocatesBrian and his brother Brandon have shown amazing strength after losing their mom in 2020. Since they didn't have any family who could take care of them, they went into foster care. Now, Brian lives in a group home while Brandon is in a foster home that's about two hours away. This distance makes it hard for them to see each other, which adds to their tough situation. Despite everything, both boys are determined to keep going. Brian is doing really well in school, often getting A's and B's, and he loves playing basketball. He goes to the YMCA almost every day to stay active and enjoy the sport he loves.
For Brian and his brother, basketball is more than just a game; it's a shared passion that keeps them connected. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Brian and Brandon are huge fans of the Philadelphia 76ers. They often talk about the team and dream of attending a game together, something they've never had the chance to experience. Giving them that opportunity would be more than just a fun outing; it would create a meaningful moment of connection, joy, and healing for two brothers who have been through so much yet continue to hold onto hope. Brian and Brandon also hope to attend the game with an adult who has been a great support and parental figure to them.
