Journ and her five siblings were placed in foster care due to abuse allegations against their biological parents. They are currently living in separate homes. Journ has been placed with a family she knows well, as she has lived with them before, which provides her with some familiarity. Journ has a big smile, loves playing outside, and misses her siblings. She is hopeful that they will be able to live together again someday.

Journ arrived at her foster home with hardly anything—no clothes, no toiletries, not even a jacket to keep her warm. The shoes she was wearing were two sizes too small, leaving her toes cramped and uncomfortable. Despite this, she spotted a pair of purple Nike sneakers and instantly fell in love, as purple is her favorite color!
