Devin is an amazing young man. At the beginning of placement in foster care, he had difficulties going out in public to such places as the grocery store and would have a huge meltdown. Since receiving therapy, he has started to thrive. Now, he has learned to enjoy outings at the grocery store and other places. Devin enjoys interacting with the other children in the resource home. He loves telling jokes and genuinely enjoys talking with them. He thrives with social interaction and has come so far.

Devin has experienced academic challenges this year, primarily due to difficulties with focus and attention. During the fall semester, he did not pass several classes. As a result, he transitioned to an independent study program to support completion of his coursework. At this time, Devin is on track to complete his courses, contingent upon successful participation in summer school. Devin is highly motivated by incentives, particularly food rewards. A McDonald's gift card would be an effective incentive to encourage him to keep accomplishing his goals.
