Legacy Adoption ServicesWyatt is in foster care and has faced many serious challenges, including abuse and neglect, threats of harm, homelessness, truancy, frequent police involvement, parental mental health struggles, and out-of-home placement. Even with these experiences, Wyatt is smart, funny, and friendly. He enjoys watching YouTube, spending time outside, and playing video games. He also collects Pokémon cards. Wyatt is quick-thinking and resourceful, and he likes finding ways to earn money and help others. He also enjoys theatre and singing, where he can be creative and express himself. Wyatt has phone calls with his birth mom and his adult sister, and he also has visits with his brother. While these connections are important, his support system is not always consistent, and he would benefit from more stable and supportive adults in his life.
Wyatt is currently in residential placement and is working on stabilizing his mental health. He is very smart and has goals for his future, but he sometimes struggles with managing his emotions and staying engaged in daily routines. At times, he feels the need to make money on his own and may leave without permission or panhandle, especially when he feels bored or overwhelmed. Wyatt often finds the day-to-day structure difficult and says it can feel repetitive. Like many teens, he enjoys video games and feels a sense of accomplishment when playing. Wyatt has shared that he would really like a Nintendo Switch because it is portable and easy to use. Having access to a gaming system like this could give him a positive outlet, something engaging to focus on, and a healthy way to feel a sense of achievement during his free time.
