Kasei enjoys playing with slime and Play-Doh, and she loves listening to Sabrina Carpenter. She likes to video call her older sibling, who lives separately, because they are over 18. At school, Kasei has many friends and participates in the band, where she plays the trumpet for fun.

Kasei has been having visits with her mother, who promised her an iPad and other gifts if she told the judge she wanted to go back when she returned to care. Kasei has recently begun to speak more openly about her experiences during these visits, and reunification is no longer the plan. She has been very upset about not receiving the iPad, especially because it is an important way for her to stay in touch with one of her older sisters who lives elsewhere. Staying connected with her siblings means a lot to Kasei, and she has shared with her worker how important those relationships are to her. Having an iPad would give Kasei a safe and reliable way to communicate with her sister and maintain those important family connections.
