A mini fridge for Annaliese to keep her medication cold

Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County

Annaliese has been in and out of foster care throughout her life, without a caregiver who was consistently able to meet her needs. Despite experiencing multiple placements and different foster homes, she has worked hard to catch up in school and maintain her GPA, ultimately earning acceptance into a university. She is now preparing to attend college and is very excited about her future, as she will be the first in her family to graduate and pursue higher education. Annaliese is motivated, positive, and excited for what lies ahead.

Annaliese is moving into a college dorm in a new city and is working to gather the essentials for independent living. She regularly takes medication that must remain refrigerated, and having a personal mini fridge would give her peace of mind knowing her medication is stored safely, consistently cold, and exactly where she placed it. In a shared dorm with multiple roommates, a mini fridge would also help prevent confusion or accidental mishandling of important medication. It would allow her to keep some of her own food and drinks separate, helping avoid conflicts over shared refrigerator space and making the transition to dorm life smoother and less stressful.

"Dear Wish Granter, Thank you so much for purchasing this wish for Annaliese. She was incredibly grateful and relieved when she received her refrigerator. As she prepared to move into her dorm room, she was concerned about how she would keep her medication properly stored and have a place to keep food and drinks readily available. After moving into her dorm, one of the first things she did was set up the refrigerator. She was thrilled when it quickly cooled down and was ready to use. She immediately stocked it with water, drinks, and snacks, making her new space feel more like home. Her roommates even commented on how lucky she was to have her own refrigerator! This gift has helped make Annaliese's transition to college much smoother and has given her one less thing to worry about as she adjusts to campus life. Thank you for helping her start this exciting new chapter with comfort, confidence, and peace of mind."
