CA DCFS - Los Angeles CountyNathan is currently in care due to his mother's passing and his father's legal issues. He was left to fend for himself and has struggled to cope with the loss of his mother and the absence of his family. Nathan's goal is to find a support group and attend college to become independent. He is intelligent, kind, and loving. At this time, he is working to get the help he needs to succeed and continue his journey toward finding a loving family.
Nathan has shown a lot of growth in different areas. His behavior has improved, he is more engaged in school, and he is taking on more responsibility. He has also shown initiative by saving his own money. He even tried selling food to peers and people in his community, which shows he is motivated and determined. Even with these positive changes, he still does not have basic recreational items, like a TV. This makes it hard for him to fully enjoy the gaming system he worked hard to get. Providing an affordable TV would let him enjoy something he earned, while also supporting his continued progress and encouraging positive choices in a safe way. Although he does not have his parents in his life, he is currently in a stable and supportive placement. His birthday is coming up soon, which is something that will likely make him very happy.
