Toys for Daron to stay busy during his hospital stay

Daron, 2 years old, OR

Wish submitted by:

Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, Inc

During his mother’s pregnancy with Daron, there was no prenatal care. He was born with meth, fentanyl, and benzodiazepines in his system. Despite going through withdrawal and needing multiple surgeries, he has shown himself to be a strong fighter and survivor. Daron is very loving and has a close bond with his grandmother, who is currently raising him. He enjoys looking at books and being read to, and he also loves playing with trucks and cars.

Daron has been in the hospital for a week now. He has a feeding tube, and doctors may need to upgrade it, which could require another surgery. At this time, he is only able to take in about 500 cc of nutrition and needs to reach 1500 cc before he can be discharged. He is expected to remain in the hospital for at least another week but likely even longer. The hospital has provided him with an iPad to watch cartoons, but he could use some additional activities to help keep him engaged and comfortable during his stay. This wish would provide him with a few toys to keep on hand and help occupy his time as he works toward recovery.
