David is a reserved and artistic young man who has been in care for several years. He tends to keep to himself most days. David enjoys spending the money he earns from doing chores on new clothes and shoes. He loves to keep up with the latest trends and often shows his social workers the new items he has purchased.

David will be graduating high school in early June. He has done very well and, later in his sophomore year, advocated for himself to stop taking ADHD medication because he wanted to manage things on his own. He has done just that and continues to succeed through his own effort and determination. He has especially enjoyed his classes about animals, as well as his Mandarin Chinese class, which he has taken for two years in a row. David will soon be enrolling in his local community college to continue his education, and he has also recently started a new job. David would love a pair of shoes as a graduation gift. It would be great for him to pick out a new pair of shoes to start college. Shoes are one of his favorite things, and this would be a meaningful way to celebrate his achievement and new beginning.
