Yelie is a bright young lady. She lives with her parents, facing some tough challenges. Her dad is dealing with kidney disease and needs dialysis, while her mom takes care of him and her elderly grandfather, who has dementia. Despite these tough times, Yelie is strong and hopeful. While her family relies on public assistance, Yelie has a passion for hairstyling and nail design. She dreams of becoming a licensed hairstylist and nail technician, which keeps her motivated. Yelie's childhood hasn't been easy; she endured abuse from her aunt and uncle for several years. This experience has been hard on her, affecting her self-esteem and mental health. However, Yelie is committed to healing and often attends therapy sessions and church activities to help her cope with the past. When you meet Yelie, you can’t help but notice her kindness and determination. She loves to paint and enjoys spending time with her family, including her mom, dad, and brother. Yelie’s journey is one of strength and hope. She shows us that no matter how difficult life may be, there’s always a way forward if we believe in ourselves.

Yelie is getting excited for her birthday in July and is working on putting together her summer wardrobe. Right now, she doesn’t have a good pair of sandals for the warm weather. Having them would complete her look and make her day even more enjoyable.
