A Sense of Home

Lauren transitioned out of foster care at 18. For most of her time in the system, she didn’t feel truly connected to resources until her very last foster home, where she built a lasting bond she still keeps in touch and calls her former foster parent her godmother. After leaving care, she began building her path forward and is now in her first ever apartment. Lauren is now both working and going to school. She has had an aerospace background since 2017, first starting in security at Gulfstream Aircrafts, where she was eventually hired and became a dispatcher. From there, she went on to work at a company in San Bernardino, where for the past two years she has been helping build electrical drones. She is also studying aerospace engineering at Orange Coast College, a field that fits her passion for fixing and working with her hands. Outside of work and school, Lauren is deeply committed to fitness and staying active. She tries to work out daily and enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking and going to the beach. Though her schedule has been tight recently, she is determined to continue investing in her health and exercise routine. For her home, Lauren envisions a mix of Industrial and Modern design. She loves the metallic hardware and darker tones of industrial style, while the sleek, clutter-free look of modern design appeals to her sense of order and brightness

Lauren is navigating an incredibly challenging season after recently being laid off from her job, but she has not stopped pushing forward. Determined to stay afloat and provide for herself, she is currently driving for Instacart while actively searching for stable employment. Right now, her car is more than transportation—it is her lifeline to income, opportunity, and independence. Covering Lauren’s car insurance would provide immediate relief during this transitional period, ensuring she can continue working, earning, and showing up for herself without the added fear of losing the very tool helping her survive. Your support would not only ease financial stress, but also empower Lauren to keep moving toward stability while she works hard to secure her next opportunity. By granting this wish, you are helping protect her momentum, preserve her independence, and remind her that she does not have to face this chapter alone.
