Ell is a transgender female who was recently removed from her home due to physical abuse. Despite these circumstances, she remains resilient and is working toward healing in a safer environment. Ell is receiving services through the Department of Child Safety, and will be looking into working with the Young Adult Program. Ell currently resides in a group home, where she is creating her own safe space and positive connections.

Ell has shared that expressing her identity is very important to her and brings her a sense of comfort and confidence. She would appreciate items that support her self-expression, such as makeup, perfume, and glitter, as these help her feel more like herself during this challenging time in foster care. Having access to items like these can provide Ell with a positive and creative outlet, while also supporting her emotional well-being. Small opportunities for self-expression can help her feel more grounded, boost her confidence, and give her a sense of individuality and normalcy during a period of transition and uncertainty.
