Karen has faced extreme adversity. Her father was recently deported, and her mother is unwell, so she and her siblings are taking care of themselves. Despite all of the challenges she is facing, Karen is working toward her goals! Karen loves reading and spending time outdoors, and she hopes to work in the medical field.

Karen is getting ready to be the first in her family to graduate from high school and will start college in the fall. She is in need of a laptop for school. Over the summer, she will also use it to complete financial aid forms, apply for scholarships, and prepare for college. A laptop would help her stay organized and support her as she takes this important next step in her education.
