When Sugar was very young, she faced instability and difficult experiences that no child should go through. Because of this, she did not always feel safe, and her education was often interrupted. She also had trouble focusing in school when she was able to attend. Today, Sugar is in a safe and caring home where she is starting to heal and grow. She is learning what it means to just be a child again. She is excited to make friends, build confidence, and have the kind of positive experiences that help her thrive.

Summer camp would provide Sugar with a chance to continue that growth in a meaningful way. It would allow her to develop social connections, learn how to swim, explore new experiences, and create joyful childhood memories in a supportive environment. Most importantly, camp would help her continue building confidence and a sense of belonging as she moves toward a brighter future.
