Sara is an incredible young girl, smart and resilient. Currently, she and her older brother are staying with a family friend while their father and stepmother are being detained. Tragically, Sara's biological mother passed away from complications related to COVID-19 and infections when Sara was just a baby, leaving a lingering void in her life. Life has been challenging for her guardians, coming from Venezuela, as they strive to find stable work and housing to provide for both Sara and her brother. Sara and her brother have felt a deep sadness, missing their family. Like any girl her age, Sara enjoys the simple pleasures of life: playing with her dolls, watching YouTube, dancing, and indulging in arts and crafts, as well as enjoying video games. Her favorite color, purple, reflects her vibrant spirit. Despite the challenges she faces, Sara embodies hope and strength, reminding us all of the power of resilience and the importance of community support

Sara and her brother are currently being cared for by a family friend while she finishes school. This family friend has been a tremendous support for Sara’s biological family, but taking care of Sara and her brother is financially challenging. Next month, Sara and her brother will be reunited with their parents in Venezuela, but they need assistance to purchase plane tickets for their journey back to their homeland. Sara is filled with anticipation at the thought of seeing her parents again; she misses them dearly and has endured sleepless nights and episodes of bedwetting due to the separation. Having a safe flight, accompanied by her current guardian, would mean the world to her and help ease her anxiety.
