Eileen & Callie's PlaceAvian aged out after living with her grandparents in Texas where she felt isolated and unaccepted. She returned to Spokane and is slowly, carefully rebuilding a sense of security. She is an introvert and a homebody who is starting to step outside her comfort zone with the help of her caseworkers.
Avian finds crowded public transit genuinely hard because of what she has been through. An electric scooter would give her a way to get around her community independently, on her own terms, without the stress of crowded spaces. It would let her build independence at a pace that works for her and make it easier to get where she needs to go.
