Willow has experienced a great deal of trauma in her life. Willow and her siblings have been under DCFS custody since 2020. Willow has made significant progress with stabilizing her mental health, she has graduated high school, participates in the Extended Foster Care Program, and has interests in working with animals, creating digital graphics, and wanting to help children who have gone through similar experiences as she has. Willow enjoys creating digital graphics, playing video games, listening to music, and trying different foods. She has expressed that these are also the things she does to help her cope when needed.

Willow will be enrolling in a graphics design class. Willow has always expressed her desire to be an art teacher for students who have gone through similar life experiences as her. Due to Willow's struggle with intellectual functioning, she shared that having a drawing tablet would make it easier for her to create digital graphics by drawing directly into the graphics program they will use in school. Willow also uses drawing as a coping mechanism, and she expressed that she will be able to draw more often with the tablet when she begins to experience symptoms, which will be very helpful for both her academic success and her overall well-being.
