Sawyer has endured abuse and time in residential care before finding a place in his current foster home. He is dedicated to addressing his emotional and social growth. One of the few things that truly calms him is spending time outdoors. He has a passion for rocks, fishing, and being near water. Nature helps him in a way that not much else can.

Sawyer wants a kayak because time on the water is genuinely therapeutic for him in a way that has been hard to replicate anywhere else. He loves exploring, fishing, and feeling the calm that comes from being outside. After everything he has been through, having something that brings him peace and a reason to look forward to the weekend is meaningful.
