SD DSS - Pennington CountyAtlas is a sweet, active little girl who is currently in foster care with her brother. She is autistic and has genetic disorders, but she continues to make progress with the support and encouragement of those around her. Atlas is learning to communicate and has recently started saying a few words, which has been an exciting milestone. She attends a specialized daycare where she works on developing her communication and developmental skills. She loves to run, jump, and stay busy exploring the world around her. Atlas is also a very picky eater and is sensitive to certain textures, but she continues to learn and grow in her own unique way. Her curiosity, determination, and joyful spirit bring happiness to everyone who knows her.
Having a trike will give Atlas a fun way to play outside while helping her learn how to pedal and build coordination. Riding a trike can support her physical development, balance, and confidence as she learns new skills. Having a trike of her own would bring Atlas so much joy and provide a safe, active outlet for her energy. She will love spending time outdoors, and her wonderful laugh is sure to shine through as she learns to ride and enjoys this exciting new experience.
