SD DSS - Pennington CountyAtlas is a sweet, active little girl who is currently in foster care with her brother. She is autistic and has genetic disorders, but she continues to make progress with the support and encouragement of those around her. Atlas is learning to communicate and has recently started saying a few words, which has been an exciting milestone. She attends a specialized daycare where she works on developing her communication and developmental skills. She loves to run, jump, and stay busy exploring the world around her. Atlas is also a very picky eater and is sensitive to certain textures, but she continues to learn and grow in her own unique way. Her curiosity, determination, and joyful spirit bring happiness to everyone who knows her.
Atlas would love a kid's tablet that she can use for both learning and fun. She has recently started saying a few words, and a tablet would give her access to interactive games and activities designed to help her practice sounds, words, and communication skills. Atlas loves music and dancing, so she would also enjoy listening to songs and engaging with educational activities that keep her interested and motivated. Because of the unique challenges she faces due to autism, having a tablet with age-appropriate learning tools would be a valuable resource to support her development.
