Owen is an engaging and fun-loving boy who enjoys spending time with friends, playing Roblox, building with Legos, and learning about cars. He has a creative imagination and especially enjoys constructing different Lego creations and playing video games in his free time. During the summer, he likes visiting the local pool, where he can cool off and spend time with friends. Owen entered foster care after his relatives were no longer able to care for him. He continues to maintain a relationship with his mother and speaks with her by phone when possible, but due to her own circumstances, she is unable to provide care for him at this time. As a result, Owen's support network is small and consists primarily of his foster parents, social workers, and CASA volunteer. Despite the challenges he has faced, Owen remains kind, caring, and easy to connect with. He genuinely cares about others and works hard to maintain positive relationships. He currently shares a room with another foster youth, and when disagreements arise, he is quick to communicate and work toward a solution. Owen's positive attitude, resilience, and thoughtful nature make him a wonderful young person who continues to thrive with the support of those around him.

An electric scooter would mean the world to Owen. He is an active and social teen who enjoys going to the city pool, school activities, and local restaurants with friends. While he currently walks or rides his bike to get where he needs to go, the long distances can be tiring and time-consuming. Having an electric scooter would allow Owen to travel more efficiently and independently, helping him get to school and other activities more quickly. It would also make it easier for him to spend time with the friends he has made, many of whom have scooters and enjoy riding around town together. An electric scooter would not only provide reliable transportation but also help Owen stay connected with his peers and participate more fully in the activities he enjoys. This gift would give him greater independence, confidence, and opportunities to create positive memories with friends.
