Lisa is an amazing young woman who has faced many challenges in her life, but she continues to stay positive and happy. She loves learning and has a strong goal of becoming a nurse one day. Lisa is also a young mother and does a great job caring for her son while working hard to build a better future for both of them.

Lisa will graduate from community college and then transfer to a university. She is working, attending school, and raising her son, while managing many responsibilities each day. She will soon begin a summer internship and recently reached out to request a new pair of tennis shoes. She was hesitant to ask, as she no longer considers herself part of foster care, but she is working hard to build her future and stay on track. A new pair of shoes would mean a lot to Lisa. It would support her during her internship and give her a small but meaningful boost as she continues this next chapter of school, work, and motherhood.
