Ellie is a friendly and curious child in foster care who is always on the go and enjoys staying busy throughout her day. She is autistic, and she experiences the world with a lot of energy and interest, often moving from one activity to the next as she explores what’s around her. She is naturally social and enjoys connecting with others in her own way. Ellie does well when she has supportive structure and clear expectations, and she is just beginning ABA therapy, which is helping her build skills, routines, and communication strategies in a consistent and supportive environment. Ellie also enjoys fidget toys, which help her stay regulated and focused. These tools give her something calming and engaging to do with her hands, especially during transitions or when she needs help staying grounded in busy or stimulating environments. Overall, Ellie thrives when she is active, supported, and given positive outlets for her energy. With the right structure and encouragement, she continues to grow in confidence, communication, and daily skills.

For Ellie’s birthday, giving her an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device would be an incredibly meaningful gift.
